Variables
Ferruginous Hawk
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with April
precipitation (hex. max.) of 17-25 mm and containing some public
land. Slightly less likely in similarly dry areas where less the extent of
public land. In wetter regions (April precipitation [hex. max.] of 25-86
mm), it is most likely to occur where annual precipitation is 303-431
mm and May precipitation (hex. min.) is 18-21 mm. The logistic
regression analysis showed positive or negative association with
elevation (hex. avg.), April precipitation (hex. avg.), May precipitation
(hex. avg.), and the extent of public land.
